RACEHORSE EDUCATION Consistency discipline and reward
Adam has been educating racehorses for 20 years. Racehorse education is the most important part of a young racehorse’s life and is the blueprint for the way they will respond to situations for the rest of their life.
So it is important to give them the best start possible. The most important lesson a young racehorse needs to learn is to go forward confidently. Horses respond to Adams commands very quickly and without resistance.
28 Days in an relaxed environment
Racehorses are started at a property 15mins from the Caloundra racetrack. In this relaxed environment they spend the first 14 days learning the most important lessons of their lives. On day 15 they are floated to Golden Hands racing stables at Caloundra racetrack. Here they will learn stable life and adjust to a routine. Racehorses love routine.
The first few days they are ridden up bush tracks they enjoy this immensely
and sometimes have encounters with kangaroos. In the last week they are introduced
to the training track and other racehorses working around them.
Barriers Confident and ready to go
Racehorses are stood in and walked through the starting stalls. All racehorses educated by Adam at this stage are confident, move forward on command and are willing to please the rider.
